TRANSANATOLIA’21 ROUTE IS READY !!
The route team that set off from Eskişehir on May 20 covered a distance of 4.500 km in total. Stating that they prepared enjoyable and fine stages for the race, TransAnatolia Sportive Director Orhan Çelen emphasized the strong team work indicating that a delightful race awaits the racers this year in an extraordinary geography.
The team was exhausted during the route work due to weather conditions and even though the exploration work was conducted in spring time, the ever changing landscape and surface conditions of Anatolia made their work quite difficult. Embarking on a journey through the dusty pages of history, the team drank water from the fountains used by Suleyman the Magnificent, Mehmet the Conqueror and Murat the 4th, enjoyed breakfast at an elevation of 2.540 meters only to be greeted by spectacular sceneries at the Alacahöyük village with a history dating back 5.000 years. The interest and support of the locals provided the team with a strong motivation during this year’s excursion as well.
