We left behind 1230 km at the end of the third day in Transanatolia 2020.

 

At the end of the third day, the racers completed a total of 1.230 kilometers from the 2.850 kilometers long track of TransAnatolia 2020.

Salt Lake, the second most salty lake in the world, was the first stage for the racers during the third day with two special stages starting at Haymana. The racers had some difficulty getting through the salt at some places along the 168 km long Salt Lake stage.

Following the first stage, the racers stopped for a break at the Sultanhan Caravanserai whih is one of the most beautiful examples of Seljuq architecture and were left in awe at the historical and natural beauties of Sultanhan which is the most important carpet restoration enter in the world.

Moving onto the Obruk Plateau for the 2nd stage, the racers passed along Lake Meke during the 68 km long 2nd stage.

Preserving his first place ranking in the general classification, Xavier de Soultrait made the best times in both stages of the third day finishing in first place with 8 hours 55 min 14 seconds. He increased the difference with Adrien Van Beveren from 3 minutes 7 seconds to 9 minutes 35 seconds. This duo was followed by Jacopo Cerutti in third place.

While in the Quad category, İsrafil Akyüz remained in first place with a total time of 16 hours 31 minutes 38 sec, Erkan Uzlaş came second with 16 hours 57 minutes 48 sec. Uzlaş was followed by Hasan Yatkın and Yusuf Sayar.

Çağdaş Çağlar & Ertuğrul Danişment finished the two stages of the day in first place in the SSV category further increasing the gap with their competitors. Zafer Durmaz & Onur Altan Tan were ranked second when Necati Şahin & Armağan Şahin experienced some problems.

TransAnatolia 2019 champions in the automobile category, Mert Becce & Sertaç Tatar could not complete the race in the third day due to the mechanical failures they have been experiencing since day one. Bekir Kuvvet Erim and Kaan Karaöz finished the 1st stage in third place but could not take start in the 2nd stage due to an accident they had at the end of the stage.

Serhat Saygılı & Suat Çelik duo had the best times in both stages of the day.

Ahmet Bağce & Mert Tepe from IXCO Racing team preserved their lead with a time of 11 hours 59 minutes 02 sec. Tolga Yılmaz & Ebru Demirbay Erişti could not preserve the difference with the first place and the difference increased up to 34 minutes. Finishing day two in fifth place, Tarık Gökbay & Osman Metin climbed up to second place.

The third day of TransAnatolia finished at the Karadağ Crater camp in Karaman. A difficult stage awaits the racers in the fourth day at the Bolkar Mountains with an elevation of 3.000 meters.
